2 Grams Of Life
03:49
|
|||
Inspired by A. Huxley's "Brave New World"
Infants conceived and born in laboratory tubes
Their caste pre-decided by the genes they were subjected to
Born to serve consumerism, brainwashed to ignore the truth
Our human nature stifled by the drug we are designed to abuse.
This is my world
My sober angst
Cursed to be different
It’s time to revolt
Docile, in a world of illusions, with authoritarians feeding upon us
Do we choose to seek for justice or be amused by dreams of prosperity?
How can we stand indifferent to the sufferings of others?
By coincidence alone our life is not yet smothered
Blaming minorities ‘cause they’re the easy target
Soon there’ll be no voice to protest for what has happened

Burning Bright
01:56
|
|||
Inspired by R. Bradbury's "Fahrenheit 451"
-Innocence-
Is the face of a child, impugning the norm
Repressing suicide, genuine lust for life
An orange blaze burns my past,
as I walk down this vast boulevard.
The hound is in for the hunt,
this show needs a scapegoat.
-Firemen-
Ignorant fools, burning books
Incinerating dreams, pervading conformity

Dead Man’s Smile
03:09
|
|||
Call to arms, your name glorified
Romantic visionary of ancient times
You shall stand before it and daze
The greatest war of the modern age
Food for the gun, industrialized warfare
Piles of rotten corpses used as a bed
A bullet in the head, your last hope
To set you free of the torture you can’t cope.
Life inside your grave
With rats devouring your brain
The place where morale and dignity died
In the trenches you’ll wonder if you’re alive.
Am I alive? I am, ain’t I? Ain’t I?
You can bury your pompous national pride
Deep in the trenches where brave men died
Fighting for ideals proved to be in vain
Exposed to the merciless hands of horrid pain.
Seconds won’t pass, time seems so stale
This numbness slowly freezes my brain
Been so naïve, I could not see
The enemy ahead is a twisted portrait of me.
Jumping over rivers of barbed wire and led
So I can embrace my long-lost friend.
Stinking gas blended with the twilight mist
The piercing screams of insanity
Faces of men bruising in despair
Their last earthly moments blatantly grasping for air.
How on earth did he run away
When bullets fell like rain?
What crazy thoughts stand behind the overwhelming joy
Of a dead man’s frozen smile?

Given Up On Life

4 AM and you drown your sorrows
In front of empty bottles
If you wanna find the meaning
Take a look at yourself
But it’s the misery, fueled by all this apathy
That keeps you trapped in a cage called home
Passing days are a drag, with no hopes of good things to come
Youth is too precious to spend with a screen, you know.
Your running short of money
Isn’t what’s driving you mad honey
Do you really need all this cash
To have some fun?
Without a job, you gotta make things work
To keep it sane and stay clean
Cause this filthy weed and all that follow it
Is a great way to inert and obey.
Save the excuses to yourself
They’ll come in handy when you’re dead
First class witness
To the stealing of your life
Of all the things you could achieve
You chose to kill your dreams
Lifestyle, what a great way to hide
The void of your soul
Vanity is such a cruel bitch
Pleases your ego, it’s all about “me”
What’s this bitterness you feel
Did you realize everyone hates you you selfish dick?
4 AM and you drown your sorrows
In front of empty bottles
If you wanna find the meaning
Take a look at yourself
